First congratulations. I remember so clearly the later months of pregnancy (the uncomfortableness of it and the anticipation).
In my experience, a caesarian birth is no different than any other--astrologically speaking. The moment we take our first breath is our moment whether its planned or not. Readings for caesarian births are equally as relevant and resonant. I have heard of people choosing birth time based on astrology. I have never done it for someone and when I think about--I think, what would I look for? It would only be my biases. When it comes to planning a wedding or buying a house we can use astrology because the biases are clear--we want a long marriage. We want to the house to appreciate and last and be comfortable. With a human--we want both challenges and strengths. We want to live our lives in alignment with our soul journey. How does one set that up for a human being astrologically? I don't think I know. I can look at a chart and tell if someone has had a harder time this lifetime than others or an easier time. Some people with harder times have fuller, richer, more empowered lives. Some people with easier work find themselves less motivated and create other challenges out of boredom or laziness. On the other hand, when I had my son, I remember being really glad I went passed my due date because otherwise he would have been a Scorpio and that sign isn't as harmonious with my chart. And I was glad when the moon moved into Leo--because that was in greater harmony with me and with the rest of his chart. But I don't think that that is really a positive example of astrology in action--mostly an example of an overactive mind. My son who is now 11 years old and I have an extraordinarily harmonious relationship, and he has other challenges in life that I couldn't avoid or foresee or astrologically plan my way out of. I realize you will likely choose a date based on some convenience, mostly probably for the doctor. And, you will only have a few days to choose from. I think I would just trust in this being inside of you. They are already directing so much. People are always born at the perfect moment. What we do with that perfect moment is what matters.

Deep breathing after the vortex shift through Divination Day aka Candlemas, aka Ground Hog's Day. On the last day at the Lotus Lodge (January 29), I saw a client, finished moving and on my way home my car left its body. On the next day, my brilliant brother, Ray, came to visit me for first time. Flying out from NJ for an interview at Evergreen for the assistant soccer coach position. We had a full weekend with many shifts and changes.
There is a research project that I have been working on since 2006, that many of you have heard of. It is looking at the last 3000 years of history and following a particular astrological cycle that follows a paradigm shift--how the shift is initiated and all of the stages it goes through. This cycle of empowerment can be seen in individual charts as well as in larger cycles of time. My brother, Ray, is an extraordinary historian and I have often seen him writing this book with me. With perfect timing, as the Universe always has, I enter into deeper work on this project just when he becomes available to write this with me. Yesterday, after David was able to bring my car back to life (probably on borrowed time), I said to my partner, Bret, how significant of a shift this past weekend was. He said, "Yea, I think the Seahawks winning the Superbowl is really huge." I can see how that can be part of it. Certainly seems like the Seahawks represent an example of collective work, sharing the glory, positive thinking and meditation in action. I am willing to see the reflection of a vortex shift in where ever and however it shows up. If it is a vortex, it will show up everywhere, including a football game. For me, the synchronicity of moving out of my office, beginning my sabbatical, having my car die and my brother arrive, showed that not only am I personally showing up differently in the world, the world is showing up to support me in fulfilling a purpose. I told Bret, I feel like I'm Frodo with the ring (this project). I have to get it to Mordor. Will you help me? I think we all are Frodo and we all have a ring. What is your ring? What is Mordor for you? And what do you need to get it there? (And how did this last weekend go for you--in terms of the Universe aligning to support that journey?) |
